Doggy day care in Lincoln

We offer an initial free 1-hour assessment to ensure their suitability to the environment and with other furry friends.

Dogs will have to be up to date with vaccinations to attend and their vaccination card must be shown on or prior to the assessment visit. Our centre is split into two well-ventilated indoor play zones to enable us to offer a tailored dog day care service for dogs of varying temperaments. The outside play zone provides additional playing space, including an enclosed grass paddock and designated toilet area.

Through the use of various toys and agility apparatus, dogs are guaranteed hours of fun which encourages positive behaviour and play. In addition to this, there is also a separate quiet space if your dog would like to have a rest without being disturbed by others. If dogs require feeding during the day, we encourage you to bring their own food which we are more than happy to give to them.

Dog Day Care FAQs

We have highlighted key questions below, please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

The benefits of dog day care...
1. Socialization: Dog day care provides an opportunity for dogs to interact with other dogs in a supervised and controlled environment. This helps dogs learn proper social skills and behavior, reducing the likelihood of aggression or fear towards other dogs in the future.
2. Exercise and stimulation: Dog day care typically offers a range of activities and playtime sessions that keep dogs physically active and mentally stimulated throughout the day. This can help prevent boredom, anxiety, and destructive behavior that may occur when dogs are left alone at home for long periods.
3. Supervision and safety: In a reputable dog day care facility, trained staff closely monitor the dogs to ensure their safety and well-being. This includes preventing and managing any potential conflicts, providing appropriate playtime and rest periods, and administering any necessary medications.
4. Alleviates separation anxiety: Dogs with separation anxiety may experience distress when left alone. Dog day care provides a structured environment where dogs are surrounded by people and other dogs, helping to alleviate separation anxiety and provide comfort.
5. Professional care and attention: Dog day care facilities often employ experienced and knowledgeable staff who are skilled in handling dogs of different breeds and temperaments. They can recognize and address any signs of illness, injury, or discomfort promptly, ensuring that your dog receives the necessary care and attention.
6. Convenience for owners: For busy pet owners, dog day care offers convenience by providing a safe and supervised environment for their dogs while they are at work or running errands. It eliminates the guilt and worry associated with leaving a dog alone for extended periods.

It’s important to note that not all dogs may benefit from dog day care, as individual temperaments and preferences can vary. It’s recommended to assess your dog’s personality and needs before enrolling them in a dog day care program. Additionally, choosing a reputable and well-run facility with trained staff is crucial to ensure the best experience for your furry friend.

Do I have to book or can I just turn up on the day?

We would highly recommend to book our dog day care in advance but we know at times you may need a helping hand looking after your pooch at short notice, if you require us to look after your dog on the same day contact us to check our availability.

Do dogs have to come on the same days each week?

Not at all! We want to make this a stress free experience with kendricks k9 services. If we have space on the day of booking your dog is allowed to come (to avoid disappointment advance booking are advised)

Do dogs have to be well trained and have a good recall?
We welcome dogs with all levels of training and recall- as long as they are sociable and friendly, they can come to play! Our daycare is totally private and secure so they can run off lead in safety. Being off lead for long periods of time with us often has a drastic improvement on dogs’ recall and behaviour in general
What happens in bad weather?
We have an outdoor area that is secured with 6ft high stock fencing that dogs can roam freely without risk of escaping that covers an acre, for the cooler/winter months we have an indoor area that is split into 2 parts this has a variety of play apparatus. The indoor area is temperature controlled by an air conditioning unit ensuring all year round is the optimum temperature for your beloved pooches.
Do you clean dogs before they come home?
Generally we like to keep your dog as clean as possible but they may be times in the winter months where your dog may want to explore the outside paddock and may get a little dirty, if this is something you want your dog to avoid please let us know. If they stay in our indoor day care area they will be mud free as this area is covered with dog friendly Astroturf. We do offer a grooming service that is available prior to your dog leaving our day care facility, for more information on our grooming services enquire within.
How young can puppies start coming to dog day care?
Puppies need to be at least 10 weeks old and have completed their 2nd round of vaccinations. It’s great to get puppies started in daycare young as these positive experiences will set them up for life!
My dog isn't great with other dogs- can they still come to Kendricks K9 Services?
Unfortunately not. Although we understand that not all dogs love being around groups of other dogs, if yours doesn’t- we aren’t the right place for them to spend their days. Our day care is a friendly and sociable place for dogs to interact and play together, and if your dogs isn’t going to enjoy that or shows any form of aggression, we wouldn’t be able to accept them.
How long is a dog day care day?

Our opening hours are 8:00-18:00 Mon-Fri and closed on a Sunday. A full day of doggy day care from Kendricks K9 Services is 10 hours and costs just £30, you have the option to drop your dog off hourly at a rate of £6 per hour (if your dog is here at an hourly rate and they go over 5 hours stay your spend will be capped at a maximum of £30 and charged at the day rate to save you money!)
